I really enjoyed this exchange program! i thought it was a great idea. it was amazing to learn so much about the diffrent cultures from australia. even though blogs for south korea didnt work out to well i wouldve loved to learn about their cultures as well!

Our Diverse Population

Our country has a very diverse population! My world geoprahpy class recently did a video project on diversity just here in Austin! And it was amazing to see all the diffrent people, traditions, languages, and cultures there are here in just Austin! I think our country does a good job on promoting the diffrent populations here in the U.S. With all the forgien exhange programs that schools do here in the U.S. It gets American kids to get more involved and interested in diffrent cultures around the world. I think this culutral exchange program was a great idea because it definintly got me more interested in other cultures here in America

My favorite places to go

I have alot of favorite palces to visit, but most of them are just here in Texas where i live!
I love to go to a place called enchanted rock in Fredrickburg! Its amazing over there! I also like to go to South Padre Island during the summer! its not that far from my grandmas house who lives in McAllen Texas.

Terroist attacks in the U.S

Yes, we have had many terrorist attacks here in the U.S. The most memorable for me was 9/11. Where two hijacked planes crashed into the twin towers in New York. After 9/11 the U.S was much stricter about the border, and air travel. One thing the used more was the no-fly-list to help prevent more terrorist attacks

My School!

Well this year I'm new to public school, so everything is diffrent to me. But its really fun! We have a lot of interesting clubs there! I think ive even heard we have a cheese club! Hah im not completley sure on that one though. We also have the usuall sports like football, basketball, and soccer. We even have lacrosse and ultimate frisbee!

illegal Immigrants

Yes my country deals a lot with illegal immigrants. Most come from the cities that border the U.S. They come to the U.S in search of better job opportunities for them and their families. Right now there is a lot of controversy about the ways the U.S should deal with illegal immigrants. We have built a fence on the border of the United States and Mexico, but immigrants are still finding ways through. Alot of Americans think completley blocking off immigrants isnt the right thing to do, and wish we could find a way to more control the flow of immigrants in to our country. I agree with that, the U.S has been called the land of opprotunity, and i think we should keep it that way

My Summer!

Over the summer, I hung out with my friends alot! That was mostly during June. In July I went to Camp Lonestar for a week. That was really fun. Then I came back home for a week, and left again to go on a mission trip to Ohklahoma. We stayed at a Cherokee Indian Reservation. Where we built a new roof for one of the buildings there. And also helped floor a house with another group from Ohio. Building and flooring took up nearly the whole day, but when we were finally done we went back to the cabins to hang out, or play football. Playing football at the end of the day was probably one of my favorite things we did together. During the short time I was there I learned alot about the Cherokee Nation, and their traditions. It was a great experience, and I cant wait to go back there someday.
